ClearSkinMaxPimples hurt your skin and your pride. They seem to turn up at the most inconvenient times and all you want to do when you feel like they are screaming "look at me" is shut them up - fast!

Natural remedies are a quick and easy way to calm redness, soothe pimple pain and clear up bacteria at the same time. By using the right remedies for pimples, you can even prevent acne scars and reduce the future likelihood of breakouts.

Natural remedies for pimples usually include antibacterial ingredients like honey, tea tree oil and other essential oils. Herbs and spices like turmeric also offer potent antibacterial properties.

Pimple cleanser remedies

You can make a simple pimple cleanser from yogurt, coconut oil, lemon juice and honey (all naturally antibacterial) as ingredients. With the addition of a few drops of essential oils like tea tree or neem you can combat bacteria, or use lavender oil which is slightly less antibacterial but very soothing and calming for inflamed skin.

You can also make a camomile based steam cleanser with the addition of a few drops of tea tree and lavender oils. This can also be used as a toner or rinse remedy for acneic skin.

Spot remedies for pimples

You may have heard of the old toothpaste and baking soda spot treatment remedy. Well there are many more that work in several ways to dry out, soothe and treat acne. Making a paste with baking soda, a pinch or turmeric mixed with honey and a couple of drops of essential oils applied directly to pimple spots is a little known but very effective recipe for clearing up pimples.

You can also use strong camomile tea (a camomile tea bag just covered with boiling water and allowed to cool) as a soothing base mixed with honey, baking soda, turmeric and a few drops of essential oil for a calming spot treatment.

Pimple moisturizing serum remedy

A fantastic treatment serum for pimples that can also be made into a moisturizer with the addition of aloe vera juice and 10% beeswax can be made as follows:

2 tablespoons extra virgin coconut oil

1 tablespoon almond oil (or use 100% coconut oil)

2 drops tea tree oil

2 drops lavender oil

Optional: rosehip, calophyllum, calendula and/or carrot seed oil can be added to prevent scars or reduce existing scarring.

Mix together as blend and apply once or twice daily as an antibacterial healing serum. There are of course many more recipes you can make depending on your skin type (oily, dry, blotchy etc). You can make many serums to treat, heal and protect your skin and defend against pimple breakouts.

Salycylic acid pimple remedies Fruits like strawberries or willow bark are naturally high in salicylic acid, a common ingredient used in acne products. You can make masks with strawberries and/or willow bark combined with honey and other antibacterial pimple fighting ingredients that also offer added benefits for your skin.

Natural pimple remedies are just as effective as chemical based synthetically produced treatments, especially when you know what combination of ingredients to use.

Try making your own power packed pimple remedies at home using these recipes or adaptions of these using tools like the Natural Face Serum Wizard to help you create the perfect pimple remedy for your skin.

Incubationer LTDTea Tree Oil has been popular in Australia where I grew up so I have been very familiar with this medicinal oil long before its rise to fame here in the United States. Health care specialists have been espousing its benefits due to its antibacterial, antiviral, antimicrobial, antifungal and antiseptic properties. As a result, it is one of the best treatments for acne.

What Is Tea Tree Oil?

Tea Tree Oil is the oil from the leaves of the Melaleuca Alternifolia tree native to Eastern Australia. The Australian Aborigines would crush up the leaves and inhale the oils to treat respiratory illnesses. They have been using this oil medicinally for thousands of years.

It is because of the properties that Tea Tree Oil possesses that makes it the perfect solution to treat moderate to severe acne with no side effects. Studies have shown this oil to be on par with 5% benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is the most well known anti acne treatment but it can leave the skin extremely dry, irritated and red. Sometimes it can be so drying that skin is on the verge of cracking. It must be noted however that Tea Tree Oil will need more time to take effect than benzoyl peroxide.

Why Tea Tree Oil Works For Acne

There are many underlying reasons for acne:-

Genetics
Imbalance of hormones (this is why teens get acne and women during certain times of the month)
Foods we eat can exacerbate acne

But acne is always caused by the same 3 things for everyone:

Excess sebum (oil glands produce too much oil)
Excess skin shedding (the skin cells lining the follicle wall shed too frequently)
P. acnes bacteria (which is already present on skin)

These 3 things combine to form a plug that clogs the pore. Tea Tree Oil works for acne because it dissolves oil. The principle behind this is that only oil can dissolve oil. A great example of this is when you are trying to wash off a sticky price tag. The more you try and clean it with detergent the stickier is becomes. But when you use a cloth dipped in oil, such as olive, it dissolves easily. Tea Tree Oil cuts through the sebum on your skin, unclogs the pores and kills the P. acnes bacteria.

Safety Of Tea Tree Oil

This oil can be toxic if swallowed and can cause a host of side effects including drowsiness, confusion, hallucinations, coma, unsteadiness, weakness, vomiting and diarrhea. Before using this oil you should patch test by putting a couple of drops just behind the ear. If no reaction occurs after an hour, then you are free to use this treatment.

Tea Tree Oil needs to be diluted before using on skin. Start by using half oil and half water - a 50/50 solution and see how that works. You can then add more or less depending on your preference. Instead of water, aloe vera can be used to dilute or if you prefer more hydration try using a carrier oil like Jojoba.

How To Use Tea Tree Oil For Acne

Place your 50% dilution in a small bowl
Wash your face with a mild cleanser, rinse with cool to luke warm water and pat dry
Saturate a cotton ball with the solution and apply to your whole face
Let it dry and do not rinse
Use this toner 2x/day - in the morning and before bedtime.

*** Please discontinue use if you feel any discomfort. Wash face with a mild cleaner, pat dry and apply a small amount of oil free moisturizer

Australian Tea Tree Oil is a simply the best solution for acne if you want to go the all natural route. Using this natural toner one to two times daily will help heal your pimples while preventing new blemishes from forming. You will need to experiment with the correct dosage amounts that suit your skin. My suggested dilution works for me but you may need more or less depending on the severity of your acne. Keep in mind that Tea Tree Oil is not a quick fix and as such requires your patience. If you would like faster results then try this comprehensive 100% natural acne treatment system.

Incubationer LTDAs a busy mother of two young boys and an entrepreneur, it's difficult to find time to do anything, let alone maintaining a skin regiment. Luckily, maintaining healthier, younger looking skin does not require a lot of time or cost. All it takes is developing and keeping healthy habits. If you eat a balanced healthy diet, everything you need for quick skin solutions is probably already in your kitchen.

When you use your kitchen for cooking, you can "feed" your skin also! You've probably heard many of the body and health basics: drink plenty of water to stay hydrated; eat plenty of fruits and vegetables for anti-oxidants, maintain a well-balanced diet and exercise program, etc. So, in essence, you provide care and feeding to the inside of your body, the brain, and your hair, why not your skin? Adding skin to your list of health maintenance is practical, smart, and pretty easy.

Two of the most common food groups in most people's kitchen are a great start, Fruits 'n Veggies. There are many health benefits for the inside of your body when you regularly consume anti-oxidant rich fruits and vegetables.

The good news is that there is a long list of fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, avocados, papayas, mangoes, cucumbers, peaches, and more, containing enormous benefits for your skin. For myself, I prefer to snack on tomatoes and carrots, which are great for your skin as they are rich in Lycopene and Carotene.

It's best to eat them raw for optimum nutrition. I usually sprinkle a dash of salt on my tomato, which makes it delicious. Eating these vegetables does help your body including your skin. But, with a minimal amount of effort, you can use those same fruits and vegetables to concoct a quick externally applied facial.

While feeding on your carrot or tomato there are a couple of neat ideas. First, use the juice to wash your face. Or, if you are feeling a little adventurous, mash up some of the pulp and juice and give yourself a quick facial. Of course not all fruits and vegetables work for everybody. Some may cause sensitivity in some skin types. These will help exfoliate your skin.

You've got to try several and find the ones that work best for your skin type. If you have sensitive skin for example, then stay away from the citrus fruits and go for cucumbers instead. Cucumber is well known for its soothing and softening properties. Also cucumbers have been widely used as effective eyes pads to relieve puffy eyes and dark circles around the eyes.

In short, we have learned a couple of important health tips here. First, your skin should not be forgotten as you strive to maintain a healthy body and lifestyle. Second, there are many fruits and vegetables that are likely already in your kitchen that can serve a dual purpose of food / nutrition along with skin maintenance, exfoliating, and cleansing.
